Georgetown Community Hospital has entered into a two-year sponsorship with Scott County Schools to help finish outfitting the schools’ athletic training facility. The training facility, which overlooks the football field, currently houses weights for the school system’s athletic teams to utilize, and the sponsorship will allow the school system to build new locker rooms, training room, and refreshment stand.
“At Georgetown Community Hospital, we want to champion the health of the community and with childhood obesity on the rise, helping finish a training facility that will encourage exercise is an endeavor we are proud to support,” said Barry Papania, Georgetown Community Hospital CEO.
The agreement allows the hospital to be the presenting sponsor of the Hall of Fame game and conduct two health fairs throughout the athletic seasons.
“We are thrilled to be able to complete our training facility in the way in which we originally envisioned it and appreciate the support of the hospital,” commented Joe Pat Covington, athletic director for Scott County High School.
Georgetown Community Hospital is a 75-bed acute care facility with an award-winning history of providing excellence in health care. The hospital has been named a “Solucient 100 Top Hospital” three times in recent years and has been ranked one of the “Best Places to Work in Kentucky” four out of the last five years.
