Georgetown Community Hospital Names 2019 Mercy Award Winner
July 15, 2019
Georgetown Community Hospital recently announced that Lisa Stump, RN, OCN has been recognized as the hospital’s 2019 Mercy Award winner. The Mercy Award recognizes one employee from each of LifePoint Health’s hospitals who profoundly touches the lives of others and best represents the spirit and values on which the company was founded.
The Mercy Award is an annual recognition program established in 2001 to honor the life and contributions of Scott Mercy, LifePoint’s founding chairman and chief executive officer. The award is the highest honor a LifePoint employee can receive.
“At Georgetown Community Hospital, we share LifePoint’s commitment to Making Communities Healthier, and we recognize this is supported by the good work and service of our employees on and off the job,” said William Haugh, CEO of Georgetown Community Hospital. “We are extremely proud to recognize Lisa Stump, RN, OCN for her efforts on behalf of our patients and our community. She goes above and beyond each and every day to ensure that every person she encounters receives the highest level of care and compassion.”
Lisa has a true heart for her patients. She goes above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of every single patient as if they were her own family member. She is a very loyal and dedicated person not only in her career, but also to her family and all others she encounters as a volunteer in the community. She is well known for her positive attitude, teamwork mentality and leadership in the community. The patients and staff love her. She demonstrates her compassion for her patients every day at Georgetown Cancer Center. She volunteers with Relay for Life, Cancer Survivor Dinner, Colors of Cancer 5K and Mamm’s Night Out in addition to her dedicated service at Georgetown Community Hospital. We feel she is very deserving of this Mercy Award nomination and very proud to have her represent Georgetown Community Hospital.
Each hospital winner, including Lisa Stump, RN, OCN, will be considered for LifePoint’s 2019 companywide Mercy Award. The companywide winner will be announced this summer and honored during a ceremony in Nashville, Tenn., in August, to which Lisa and all hospital winners are invited to attend.
