Cliff Wilson to Step Down as Leader of Georgetown Community Hospital

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (June 26, 2025) - Georgetown Community Hospital announced today that chief executive officer and market president Cliff Wilson will depart the organization as he relocates to pursue a new opportunity that supports continued growth in his career. The hospital is grateful for his leadership and extends its full support and appreciation as he prepares for this next step, effective July 23.

This leadership change comes during a time of strong momentum for the hospital, as reflected in its 2024 community benefit report released earlier this year. The report detailed Georgetown’s continued investments in services, providers and technology, along with its broader economic contributions to the region. Facility upgrades, expanded access to specialty care, and new clinical partnerships, such as the Kentucky Children’s Hospital affiliate network, have reinforced Georgetown’s commitment to evolving with the needs of Scott County and the surrounding communities.

An interim chief executive officer has been named and will begin in the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transition. A national search for a permanent successor is underway, with updates to be shared with staff and the community once finalized.
